Hope I didn’t look too daft, all smiles; but what a marvelous accent, I caught one in five words this Brit spoke.

if you want amusement, try taking your mother, of heavy mississippi fame to boston... if only to hear her proclaim, as she flutters her hands, "why, oh, why can't they speak english?"

and i've linked you, if you don't mind

I wonder what you were like as little girl. If you have time, will you share a memory with us? Maybe even a picture too, if we could be so spoiled.

Quin-am delighted to be on your blogroll, ty. Unless you’ve heard about the “snakes in the hole” in my part of the country, translates of course, into “snacks in the hall”, you ain’t seen nothin yet. But that must have been fun, since my idea of a southern accent is verrry “Gone with the wind”-ish.

e- Sir!

Golden words- ty. Pics from the great big Indian wedding coming up soon! Btw you have a nice blog and that one about the book too. But it also says comment only if you must say something wise, hence I refrained.

Mago- My pleasure entirely. More pics coming up soon!

proxima- will, in bits and pieces. The diva’s history in pictures, alas, is blotchy, lots of years with no sepia, and what little there was, lost in the damp attic last year, in that old metal trunk that rusted and turned traitor were lost the diva’s toothy grin, her first attempt at a swing, suchlike; last year when the skies poured and poured and thunder rumbled. :)

Heheh... You should have seen me struggle trying to grasp anything that the firangs spoke in Sunnyvale...

I would always be like - 'ah..eh..eh...'

'could you please come again'

'ah what?'

'pardon'

< hell I dont care... you want to add something in my food... go ahead... > And then I would shift to the language of the mute pointing..

Who is this brit btw...
Sathya
