Highly recommended: Dr Eric Maisel’s creativitynewsletter on yahoogroups.com.
Read the archives.
I did. Spent an hour translating this morning, drawing an amazing sense of purpose from his words, even if they are a bit of a scold.

If I have the time, I will look into him. However, I don't take kindly to scolding or dismissive authors.

I would recomment "The Street-smart Writer: Self-defense against Sharks and scams in the writing world>" by Jenna Glatzer and Daniel Steven. Has a website called "absolutwrite.com" That I have not yet visited. I checked the book out at the library and like it so much I bought it.

These are all names I've never heard of..and will definitely browse their selections from you and Proxima's suggestions the next time I'm at the library.
Be well!

Hi,Austy,tks-will chk out the link. But,tell me,why're ur posts, err, creatively short these days??

mystic= several books and workshops as well. but yahoogps is free!

proxima- actaully a cajole, but it makes you feel uneasy for not really fulfilling all the potential that you are capable of, so! Will check the site, not buying any books.. my problem is to get the words moving more than anything else.

crusty- it's a good email newsletter too. Useful.

amit- hmmmm. Dunno. no excuse. But isn't this easier to read?

austere,
you are inspiring. see the award on my page and know that i thank you for it. pass it on if you wish, or not. just know you deserve it.

i did check out the yahoo page but didn't seem to find what i should have as i couldn't remember my login...i did however, find a link there to absolutewrite.com, as mentioned above by proxima, and it was a really cool site with seemingly endless resources.

Portia! What a wonderful gift, thank you!
And how beholden I am to you and proxima and crusty, you'll never know, you ground my day sort of, in reality.

will check absolutewrite as well.
