Simplicity startles me too. But my favourite Neruda line has to be this: "I want to do with you what spring does with the cherry trees." I've had it memorized for ten years now, in the hopes of using it, or a variant of it.
The ode is so well written...i've always loved the fragrance of a lemon and the flavor it adds too...wonder whats the origin of the quote "getting a lemon"...they say "When life throws you lemons, make lemonade"...will read more on Neruda's works

That was really good- simplicity at it's best,in a way.They should use such works for school textbooks rather than drab ole poems,I feel.What do you say?--BTW, will be checking out those sites this weekend...btw,did u mention chillifreeze?I read about it today.
