This is complex. Simplicity works when you're already secure. $$ is quite important.

norrbu- you're young, the finest thing in the world is compound interest. Learn finance, learn equity and debt and stay lean. That's how you get secure. That's how simplicity can be your choice if you want it.

amit- some enabling technology should be fine. Whether its a nokia or a iphone- that's the call.

epiphany- yep.

austere di, not so young (what is young?) - but my thoughts are probably corrupt and immature - personally, I'm a minimalist myself and have always sought wisdom and reason.

Pico Iyer is wonderful. More so for supporting my fellow men, the Tibetans.

norrbu- :) only you can decide your priorities. Yes, that is an outright thievery by the Chinese. But the superpowers notice only what affects them. Now that we hear about all the radioactive ores in your country, perhaps they will wake up.

Crusty- :) Glad you liked it. Maybe someday, yes?

Its beautiful and very true. Yet the thought of doing something like this would scare me. Hope I have the courage to try it out sometime but until then yes "this-is-never-enough" continues...

PQ- perhaps the urge to paint will overtake, then there you go!

Who knows?
