Dear Google,

You are not my mother. Even my mother would not throw half baked advice at me, or tell me what to do. You tread on thin ice.

Are you familiar with the term, friends of friends?

Well, you-- or your silly censorship system- hurt my fruends. mago- whom I follow- and Leni and MJ, whom I don't. You pulled blogs and blocked gmail, for the record.

Hurt mago, whom as you'd know, is a historian, fluent in five languages, and writes posts that offer content- meat. Is this the kind of person you want access to, or not?

When people are over 18, why would you tell them what to do? Why would you disable access to gmail? You think people are soliciting, selling pot or guns? On a blog?

Who gave you the moral authority to censor blogs? Just because you host them?

Get a life, go see a shrink.

Fuming

They simply did this, no warning, no explanation - at least until now. MJ will not repossess her blog (for personal reasons, because she has a lot to work and will be moving from the Western part of Canada to the eastern), Leni Qinan did: But without all comments she ever (!!!) made, regardless if on her own blog or another.
I heared from xl and Daniel Hoffmann-Gill that other blogs were affected too. It is not a isolated thing, google started a cleanup.
Like the thunderbolt out of the sky - zap and one is dead; moral killerdrones: The online-persona MJ is wiped out. And a lot of gay people who visited this blog now have this silly warning up - "I understand and want to continue" - in advance.
Leni Q. must have such a warning now too. Her stories are clearly marked as works of fiction. Yes there is sexual content, but that is not the main point of her writing, it is no pornography. Google does not care, black - white - kill. This is the logic of fundamentalists who exactly know how the world has to be and every human has to be formed after their model. And because of this I have a WordPress-blog now. Yes, this was a sad weekend in blogland.

:O Are they seriously doing this? Pathetic!

As you may have noticed the notorious p(a)lace of filth and depravation called "Infomaniac" is restored. A kind of chronology is here. As far as I know there is still no explanation given by google.

Austere,

I hope Blogger doesn't remove this comment too, as it did with all my comments -all gone-.

I know you from Mago, who recommended me to visit and read your defence of freedom of speech.

Thank you very much for your support.

Leni.

??I didn't know this..coz usually, they just give a warning @ adult content and allow you to continue.

I did read to the end of Erosden's comments there, apparently a spamblog issue, though this hamhanded handling is COMPLETELY UNCALLED FOR.
And like Gandhiji said, nothing like a continued irritant to get your voice heard.
I will not leave but will not let them forget.

Tamanna- yep.Trying to net spam bots, spam blogs they chased and shut down sites that real people had put up.
Maybe their brains were on vacation.

Amit- yep.
Quite Goon-like, their behavior.

Leni- you left a comment here- where is it??? I will continue to prod.

hmmm.. I never knew this was happening. Did they receive any notice from google, I rememeber last year I received a couple of notices for my blogs, on my blogger dashboard, something like 'alert' in red. I didnt even notice it the first few days, just felt something was unusual, and when I finally clicked on it, the notice popped up that my blog has been marked for deletion, and to click on a button to let them know to check it out.

It is strange because a couple of my defunct blogs did not get that notice. I wonder if it is people who read the blogs and dont like the content that mark them. And googlebot still checks my main blog.

I'm sorry about the blogs that were lost, it would have hurt a lot to lose at one stroke, without explanation, all that we and our friends invest in them.

I don't think Leni, MJ or Infomaniac got any notices. But it seems ridiculously easy for people to go and complain against a blog they don't like. This is WRONG.

They're friends of mago's-- so this way I began to read them, something good came out of this too.

Thanks for dropping by.

:) Reminds me of a dialogue in a yet to be released tamil flick (translated): "I'm going to beat you up so hard, that even Google cannot find you!!!".

So much for monopolizing our lives..
