This just about matches my mood:
Zindagi khwab hai… khwab mein sach hai kya aur bhala jhooth hai kya..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6S3tpGsW-E

Another fiscal over. Another fiscal begins.
The pattern of my mornings, unchanging.
Offering stability to the day, anchoring it
That easy-paced walk, that chulha- chauka rush, the perfect round rotli, the rai- marchu seasoning.
This I will do, no matter what.
So that I can contemplate - Greece, GDP, Portugal, non existent global cues.
That hour and some of contemplation and deft moves is my fee, so as to be able to say “The emperor has no clothes.”

Yesterday, my morning was peppy and serotonin rich. Didn’t know a metformin dose increase could make your day go 3D and all smiles.

And every time I see the dawn sun I am reminded of a honed and copper hued Karna, striding home from the Ganges, beset by questions of identity and ethics. Questions that remain as yet unsolved.

Years ago when I started reading you, I never would say this... But I could sooo relate with "That easy-paced walk, that chulha- chauka rush, the perfect round rotli, the rai- marchu seasoning.
This I will do, no matter what.
So that I can contemplate - Greece, GDP, Portugal, non existent global cues."

Awesomeness you are!

Haha-Austy,you know what, I've been calling my ex-colleagues/friends here and wishing them 'Happy New Year'(accounting wise,of course)..so, same to you too, since you're talking of 'another fiscal'.:)
-------
Was imagining the 'easy-paced walk, that chulha-chauka rush...'scene-brought a smile to the face.:)

Beautiful post, austere... this for one, comes round a full circle, so much so that you could as well have ended with....aur bhala sach hai kya..!!!???... true, the levels of ethics have always changed with Time.. between the Yugas previously, but between the decades now.... Today we may be feeling like Karna, tomorrow maybe like Bheeshma, just continuing with our duties and allegiance to perfection.

and the word verification was "Latte". Should read this over a cup of Latte. Very nice. May you have a wonderful financial year! Money doens'r buy happiness, but oh boy, it buys a lot of things related to it.

After so long watching B&W :-) never liked them...even as a kid...when I'd see some songs on Chitrahaar in B&W...have always preferred colors....but i've heard many people praise that era & although I've wanted to watch a lot of old movies just for their meaningful stories, the B&W turns me off

Tamanna- Even then I used to write about matters mostly domestic...nothing has changed. But that felt good, many thanks.

Amit- smile back.

Shiv- beautiful! you've added layers I'd not even dreamt of. yet, do thy duty, as the Gita says.

Arunima- Cheers! Many good things, I agree. May it bring them to you too.

PQ- that so? I like to see the play of light, its just amazing.

I meant "I never thought I would say this"... Because I use to stay in a hostel and didn't quote relate with anything "domestic"... How life changes Austy! :D

Now you know what I meant.. Loved your writing then, love it now.
