That awe-inspiring dose of marble and granite seemed out of place for a building in an industrial area. As did the art deco security block and the now-empty jharokha-like niches near the gate. So once upon a time this was a home, a manor. Complete with sit-out and terrace garden.
And then time moved on.

Aha... there are some very interesting ruins of mills in Parel..this was some sethji's home, then part home, part BPO, and now a diagnostic center under renovation...

Try Bangalore if you feel sad about this... Too many sad, lonely, concrete tech parks here - and no, planting trees and having Coffee Days in them don't help much!

With so many structures coming up and fewer empty spaces, I wonder what future holds for us.

tamanna- it must have been such a grand home once.

one reason why I am not confident about having a kid is this. I am not confident that we are going to leave a better world for them.
