For all the philosophy, pit-in-the-gut worry about a close friend’s illness woke me up in the middle of the night with a sudden jolt. Diverticulitis is not your common stomach bug, and thoughts of the very worst case persist, given her poor immunity and gazillion complications.
I wait. So far ok.

A 1950’s era Dodge in mint perfect condition, spotted last night.

Realizing more than ever the need for focus, for compartmentalization.
And for a calm start to the day.
No more morning mail check with tea.
Lesser twitter.

Wish your friend gets well soon...

I have cut down on morning mails and news too to get to work early...but on occasions I let myself indulge

amit- ALS is horrible. Such things leave you short of words to express sympathy.

tamanna! good to see you, dear. Oh yes, the name rings a bell, you were studying then, in pune, i think. buzz has been switched off, Fb limited to twice weekly, but the blog gets written on...

pq- hope so too, fingers crossed. I find myself cross eyed and in a bad mood post reading mail, more so since I've had a few rejns:) that explains it!

The calm start in the day became ever more important to me. A kind of ritual including two strong cups of coffee. In earlier years it was a hurry, jump and run, I could not stand this today. A first look in the electronical newspaper, but no mails.
