They've finally taken away that truck that had rammed into the stone wall.
The beam of a heavy duty hoist has turned with the impact.
You can now see it past the huge gap in the stone wall.
The crushed auto was removed a day earlier.
The bus with the bad brakes stands at the turning.
Seven people, my autodriver tells me. Including a passer-by.
Sobering.
The plight of Yudhishthir at the gates.
Reminder to self: leave the desk and kitchen counter clean.
That glimpse of sunlight off the swishing palms, then dark clouds raced by.

Those seven lives, I wonder if their purpose was met and if they met their purpose. Either or both -- or if there is even a latter.

wonderful entry...esp last three lines.
norrbu- chilling.
AND I did the homework!
mark. ty. The pandava Yudhisthir, the king of Dharma (religion) was stopped at the gates of heaven and asked, what is the biggest lie man tells himself? The lie he constantly tells himself? The reply? The story of his own immortality. Every day is a con job or one wouldn't be able to live.
I try and imagine what went through the minds of those people at that moment, and, the feeling is 'arghh!'...pray that their souls rest in peace..and,as I said earlier,I bet things must be back to normal again- human life has very lil value-there and even here where I am.(Remember my post on the accident I saw, some months back?).

The Yudhishthira quote is ohh so genuine,na!!That's exactly what our biggest fallacy is-thinking that we're immortal!

i'm not sure what lines gave me the most pleasure; your last two or this: "Those seven lives, I wonder if their purpose was met and if they met their purpose. Either or both -- or if there is even a latter"
quin- norrbu said it so beautifully, no?
amit-but not one of us will admit to it. I think they wouldn't have known what hit them.
