She’s off for haj now, a thanksgiving to the skies for that grasp at life.
She comes in to work in a hijab.
More out of necessity than faith.
In time, that curly mane, jet black like the midnight sky, will return.
Lymphoma trounced. Stoic.

She took it quite bravely, and took it head-on. Her younger son is not 2 years old yet. Brave girl, conquered the disease.

Antithetical....wears hijab out of necessity, not faith..goes to the Haj for thanksgiving...but great guts to have faced all that...
