Without a rolldown screen or a sheet to project on, they cannot use the film. So many different Indias, from the six-screen multiplex to projection on a village wall.

the bumps and curves of the plaster add to the visual intensity.

at least that's what i told myself.

Yes. That is what Bloch meant with "Gleichzeitigkeit des Ungleichzeitigen" - so much different times side by side - in some areas of Europe is still middle ages. In the Bavarian forrest they still hold up rebel-heroes of the 19th century, 200 km south there is modern million capital. Time travelling is real.
