Yesterday this colleague from another department was someone you met in the lift, said good morning to. Today its not. Why is death so sudden?

Second anniv. of July 11 commuter train bomb blasts.

That's a question I can never find an answer to!!Something similar happened recently at work.A draftsman-just the day back he said bye and boarded his bus for Abu Dhabi site. The next day,we hear he got a heart attack and passed away!!Sigh!

I think everything in life is sudden. Its all in a moment... Or a succession of moments :(

I sometimes want to understand what drives them...the merchants of death... what delusion..what disenchantment....

How terrible. We are so sheltered here. I am afraid of the impression I will leave with my daughters of the world at large and our (the US) part in it's terror.

sathya- feed kahan? Doesn't show up as updated! KYON?

babyisland- yes, that is my impression too from four days in your part of the world. This once, it wasn't the US, just our piddly esteemed neighbours to the west.

Yes,especially since he was the sole bread-earner of the family, staying here, while his family's in India.

We all chipped in to send some money to them, but, nothing could have comforted the distraught family,I'm sure.

A Bus overturned in Shillong some years back and I lost a classmate, her sister and uncle to it. Another classmate lost her brother. That was the time of the year when students go outside Manipur to study. We lost a lot of toppers in the state along with one parent or guardian of the student.

We had always planned a class reunion and sadly, her demise happened to be that reunion.

The Nornen are some old ladies playing and dangling the lines of life. Sometimes they cut some through because the knot is too much for them. Others they forget, others strings they hurt and it takes too long until it ends/ruptures.

Nobody should try to do their work.
