Without fail a shower greets us every morning in the park, this morning I counted five kinds of green before I stopped counting, happy just to revel in the extravagant palette; the rain as regular as the line up of strays waiting for their biscuit treat, and I wonder how little they, and we, need to keep us going.

Minutes carved out of my Sunday, precious busiest day of the week, between the palak and methi that must be cleaned and the fridge and larder stocked and sorted, and I try and stretch and steal every moment I can spend with you, and it isn’t enough; it really never is.

:-) Suddenly a lot of my Sundays are busy too. Alas! I am growing up! :(

For some years now the "old" structure of the week, with Sunday being the quiet day, is eroding; the rhythm changes.

Is finiteness "acceptable"?

Now that sounds like Bombay's monsoon and life.
It isn't enough when there isn't enough time rest of the week, I suppose.

Oh is this the park next to the Gurudwara? My aunt says the same things too. Gotta love Bombay this time of the month, except of course the rest of the gutter water that flows in and out otherwise :(

amit- no serials, but whatever movie catches my fancy. or nat geo/ discovery/fox..
tamanna- wo bhi kya zamana tha...wo kagaz ki kashti
mago-- yes, no longer is the day of sabbath sacrosanct... not really, hence one looks for infinity within the bounds of the finite
mystic- yep, weekdays are a competition with the clock. I win. :)

kay! this is not-happening Andheri E. No, this is another one,a tiny park near JVLR.
We're on a hill, so water flows away, hopefully seawards.

The last line was an eye catcher... and it touched the heart...where are the days of yore, when we spent so much of time with our elders.. parents, grandparents, etc?

I also do my vegetable cleaning as much as possible over the weekend. Wrap them in newspapers and stock in the fridge. Sometimes, I hate the ritual for taking too much time, but it is a blessing later in the week.

Love the showers. Bangalore weather has been going about 22 past week. amazing!

How I liked the intensity of this passage, Austere. Perhaps because I know the feeling, but you describe it so perfectly well.
