like knitting that comes undone
one thing after another
medicines we take at a muscle wince or fever can mess up the innards and kidneys of the too old or too young. So I see, day by day.
words recalled from pharmacology textbooks ditched twenty years ago.
yet.

At least you have an idea what those words mean - I always have to use a lexicon.
Step by step.

In 1990-1995 I spent a lot of time in and out of hospital settings with my late, beloved mother-in-law, Lois, and so recognize and remember when you talk about effects of medicines on the elderly or very young. Even symptoms can be so very different, for example, if someone who is bedridden is dangerously building up fluid (i.e. in their lungs or around their heart) it may show up as a pain in their shoulder. I recommend the geriatric version of The Merck Manual.

Take care on this journey. I think of you every day.

Austy dear,
So sad to hear you are in pain. It is so hard to have a loved one in the hospital, a parent nonetheless. It's emotionally exhausting. My thoughts and the thoughts of many others are with you. Namaste

Its been a long time Austy...hope things are fine. I had been with a friend too recently in the hospital and I didn't even realize what day it was at times. I hope things are turning for the better...it's really stressful to wait patiently. My prayers for the best.
