Ah glee! A patli gali, new shortcut, traffic-free- a road that twists and turns, goes up hill and down, mocks the flashy expressway that it briefly runs past but that one’s traffic-heavy, past buildings that perch higgledy-piggeldy on what used to be a hill, tumble-down shanties, a track that goes past areas that are not so nice, repair shops for trucks and tempos, take a left, take a right on to smooth concrete and then viola! home…

Sounds very much like the road I used to take to go from what was then fondly known as the gas chamber to SEEPZ...must've been some 92 years ago!
we have some of those...they too "mock the flashy expressway" they run past, i love that part:)
:)
Repairshop for tempos? What are tempos? Is that three-wheels?
Oh the beauty of a less traveled path!
i have no such luxury as my house is on a noisy main road.
Whew-that's quite a scenic route to take,everyday!
Err,I believe it's 'Voila!home'?:)
ghost! WELCOME WELCOME. ok ok, one CAN technically go from point A to point B via x but not the logical thing, would you agree? Bet you don't know this one. :)
portia- see THAT road, how it goes? let me come over check that out. :)
mago- some are three wheeled, like a modified rickshaw some are larger.
babyisland- :) no hour long traffic
jam!
arunima- tch. :) five types of horns to serenade mi'lady?
amitl- everyday nako. violin, hence viola, no?
No, I don't know that one but I'm pretty sure you're trying to confuse me with all that logic about point A and B :-)
heh.
Sion- Chembur to SEEPZ one would take the 60 ft past Dharavi and then the expressway; or reach Kalina on LBS and take that shortcut in Kalina after sunder nagar to G'par, and then go to SEEPZ- this road one would not reach, methinks.
yay, maja padi. ahmedabad is full of them. through backyards and in-dire-need of repair fences.
Classic film noir:
"Mumbai backyards".
soleil- nah I'M the shortcut specialist. You know the road to the airport from the old mill lands (dani limbda) by the Sabarmati?
mago- without the sepia but. :)
